OK you can play that game under DOSBox with high framerates, original sound and the old DOS feeling aswell. But the real kick comes when you play it native on your machine! OK, maybe a reason for this one might be that your Apple computer is way too slow to run DOSBox and/or even a game inside of it.

Whatever drives you to read these lines.. here is your nirvana: an OSX binary (INTeL-only at the moment .. will provide Universal ones later) of Wolfenstein 3D. You also need the data files from either the shareware version or the full version to run it. Download, uncompress and make it executeable:

• wolf3d_shareware.gz
• wolf3d_full.gz

Please note: this is just the executeable and not the complete software itself. You still need either the shareware version or the full version of the game to run it. Copy the apropriate file from above into your WOLF3D/ folder and run it from there.

P.S.:
There is no sound yet so you have to emulate it inside your head.

You can change the lines 78 and 79 in vi_sdl.c back to the original values of 320 and 200. This gives you a tiny little screen but you can resize it with the parameters -x2, -x3 or even -fullscreen given at runtime.
